Bahçeşehir University (BAU) Faculty of Sports Sciences students organized an event called ‘Living Without Sport is Like Living Without Water’ as part of their community service applications course at İldem Şehit Necmettin Bayraktar Secondary School.
Within the scope of the event, many sporting activities and competitions were organized in the school garden with the participation of students who continue their education. The school students were introduced to various sports branches.
At the end of the activities, a group photo was taken with the teachers and students. The high participation of students in the event was notable. Hasan Aksoyak, Coordinator of the Course and Academic Staff Member, said, “We continue to do many community service projects and activities within the scope of the community service applications course. Most recently, we organized many sports activities with the school students in the garden of İldem Şehit Necmettin Bayraktar Secondary School, which is home to many talented champions. Our aim was to ensure the socialization of our students taking the course with the students of the school and to prepare them for the situations they will encounter in their future professional life. We provided students with information about the importance of sports, physical activity, and exercise. In this context, I would like to express my infinite thanks to everyone who contributed and supported us to organize our event, and to my students, who are the secret heroes of this project.”
